The rigs covered in this section primarily cover the basic rig set up with some personalized options and preferences. They do provide both a working model and the base on which you can start to make your own adjustments, with differing floats and sundry tackle items.

This includes the following categories:

  • Rigs for river fishing.
  • Rigs for still waters.
  • Rigs for distance fishing.
  • Rigs for boat fishing.

These have been provided based upon the feeling that this is what will provide you with access to how rigs are assembled and fished for the vast majority of venues throughout the UK.

Like all aspects of the sport there is often the need to 'adapt' to succeed against the odds. The rigs shown in the diagrams are all adaptable in some way or other and should provide a functional base on which you can build an armoury of methods that catch pike. For sure these are working examples and if you choose to use them as described and illustrated you will catch pike!

If you have a specific set of circumstances and have a rig you wish to share with our visitors tell us about it and we will publish details on the site!

Certainly we have a few variations on some of the rigs already on the site and will be bringing these to you over the coming weeks and months.
